Sea View Apartment in Auckland CBD

This is one of the worst places I have stayed in for a long while. Please read my full review. Positive: No breakfast Negative: This is probably one of the worst places I have stayed in for a while and at nearly $400 a night, you expect so much more. Location is great for Spark Arena, but if you have another option closeby, then I would take it. The bed was sooooo small and uncomfortable and sqeaked loudly everytime you rolled over in it. My wife and I went up for a romantic weekend away for her birthday, but the second night I had to go sleep on the rollaway in the spare room so we could both get an OK nights sleep. Weirdly....there was also a set of 'work out' weights under the bed. - The shower head didn't fit in the shower holder - The room instructions were in an old vinyl school folder that had the names crossed out on the front Nothing was professional, which you expect for nearly $400 a night) - There was a rusty and broken old clothes horse left on the balcony. - There was an old table on the balcony, but no chairs - There balcony hadn't been swept. - There were leftover coffee grinds in the portafilter that must've been in there ages as the grinds had gone really mouldy. - There were coffee pods, but no machine to use coffe pods in. - Apparently there is a swimming pool somewhere in the building, but they don't tell you where it is in the instructions (although they tell you the opening times) and it isn't listed on the lift floor numbers either. We went looking for it, but couldn't find it. - you can't check in until 4pm! If you want to check in earlier or check out later, it is about $50 for every hour earlier that you want to check in. - $210 cleaning fee is also charged - They take a $500 depsoit once you have clicked the booking.com button. If you want to cancel (which I wish I had now), they charge half the full cost of your stay. - They make you download a copy of either you passport or drivers licence (otherwise you loose your deposit) - Then you have to download a selfie to their website (otherwise you loose your deposit)
